‘Far From Macy’s, Denver Talker Imagines Parade’

There are some things only radio can do…

OK, so we know that lots of people will line the sidewalks of New York City tomorrow morning, and millions will tune in on TV for the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

But, since there’s no official parade in the Mile High City to mark the holiday, KHOW/Denver wakeup host Peter Boyles once again presented his annual “Imaginary Thanksgiving Day Parade” during this morning’s broadcast.

Broadcasting from “high atop the reviewing stand” located at the downtown intersection of Colfax and Broadway, Boyles offered play-by-play of all the sights and sounds from the faux parade, even as listeners got in on the act by calling in to describe the floats and other sights they were “seeing” along the parade route.
