There’s no question the CIC has been inclined to what most Canadians would regard as extremist positions. In 2006, the organization urged the federal government to remove two notorious groups, Hamas and Hezbollah, from its terrorist list, arguing the government had succumbed to the “intense pressure from the pro-Israel lobby.”

However, some questions are left unasked, let alone unanswered by most legacy media commentators.
A few years ago, the Harper government blantantly distanced itself from the Canadian Islamic Congress, refusing to meet with their leaders and so forth.
Now, the Dept of National Defence was prepared to have the head of the CIC speak at an event.
Why this apparent change of heart over the CIC’s status?
Also: who arranged for Delic to speak at DND? Were they confused about or ignorant of their government’s position? Or has the government’s position on CIC changed?
Of all the supposed “moderate Muslims” we are constantly being told live peacefully and productively in Canada, why was Delic chosen to speak instead?
Finally:
Why does the armed wing of the State host “Heritage Month” celebrations for any religion, let alone that of our sworn enemy?
