5 Feet of Fury

‘The Man with the Golden Arm’ (1955)

Katt Shea provides one of the best commentaries in the Trailers from Hell collection, about a controversial film with an unusual trailer (was this Preminger trying to market himself as a recognizable celebrity director, a la Hitchchock?) whose ephemera (the jazz score, title sequence and poster) was arguably more influential in the long term than its “message.”

PS: on Friday, TfH will present the trailer for one of the most “70s” movies of the Sevenites. Stay tuned.
