‘Most of the time, we in the media focus on the activities of politicians and pay little or no attention the bureaucrats’

Exactly as I keep saying. But I don’t write for the Toronto Star (anymore.)

And because ordinary people instinctively understand that bureaucrats are the truly powerful ones, and politicians are just expensive, ugly and mostly unentertaining window dressing, consumption of the offerings of The Rest of the Media(tm) continues to decline.
