Both Fantino and Hawkes expressed dissatisfaction with the need to receive the Attorney-General’s consent to lay certain types of hate crime charges and spoke of a desire to have the process streamlined.

Despite the criminal charges, Hossain’s blog remains online because it is hosted in the United States and the OPP does not have the authority to shut it down.
