Christian missionaries arrested… in Dearborn, Michigan

Freep.com:

Four Christian missionaries trying to convert Muslims were arrested and jailed Friday for disorderly conduct at an Arab festival in Dearborn, police said.

“We did make four arrests for disorderly conduct,” Dearborn Police Chief Ron Haddad said Saturday. “They did cause a stir.”

Nabeel Qureshi of Virginia and David Wood of New York, both with a Christian group called Acts 17 Apologetics, were arrested with two others after they were said to be causing disruptive behavior, police said.

Haddad said that he’s not taking sides in any dispute, but added that police have to keep the peace at a festival that draws 300,000 over three days.

“Everyone’s space should be respected,” Haddad said.

UPDATE: The police aren’t there to prevent disorder. The police are there to maintain disorder…

Yes, we’re banned from handing out literature, but we didn’t do that. We followed the rules, and still got thrown in jail. They flat out lied about us. We can prove they lied with the video footage (just like last year), but the police took our cameras and won’t let us have the footage. There’s major oppression of anyone who criticizes Islam.

Note that the police didn’t arrest any of the Muslim “disruptive behavers.”

“Being a Christian. You know, even that’s new to me. When I was brought up I was just brought up to be a good, kind person. I didn’t even know I was a Christian until these Muslims took over my country. Now I’m a proud Christian in a Christian country with a Christian culture and Christian beliefs. Which I will die for. I will die for it.”
