If anyone could do with celebrating a bit more diversity, it’s Canadian TV. However, nobody at Quebecor has approached me, and I have no ambitions in that regard. That said, I’m a big fan of Brian Lilley, a terrific reporter with CJAD Montreal and CFRB Toronto who’s going to be joining the new network. He’s done a better job on the “human rights” commission racket than almost anyone.

And Lilley is also a rare thing in that business: neither an idiot nor an asshat. He’ll be a key reason to tune in to the new network.
