Yusuf Hizel, 79, had his wallet stolen in a mugging that happened on a train at 8:30 p.m. last Saturday.
Police say there were about 25 people in the subway car at the time of the incident.
He called out for help but nobody assisted, according to police.
Hizel tried to fight off the muggers but they held him down and rifled his pockets.
He tried to press the emergency alarm but couldn’t reach it.
