When clock radio alarms go off about 6 a.m., the voice of El Gato is the first thing many people in southwest Kansas hear.
“You want to be in the North?” El Gato screams in Spanish into the ears of sleepy heads tempted to push the snooze button.
“You want a $60,000 car, big screen TV? You want boots and a sombrero? Get up and go to work.”
