Why is anybody proud of Canada?

March 2, 2010 By admin

“Canada” is the amorphous blob I plug my computer into.

I have no patriotic or nationalistic feelings. I am here due to an accident of birth; my citizenship is akin to a congenital defect. I would move to a nice concealed-carry, low-tax, low-immigrant American state tomorrow if I could.

How some so-called “conservatives” can allow themselves to be caught up in the mindless, meaningless “bread and circuses” spectacle of corruption known as the Olympics puzzles and saddens me.

And the sight of thousands of physically fit, uniformed young people marching through a stadium shouldn’t give any self-declared “libertarian” a thrill.

Scaramouche writes:

there are some “prizes” that Canada cannot and will not win–ones with disturbing ramifications for the long term. The prize for esteeming freedom of expression, say. Also, the prize for being wised up to the multiculti cult, and all the damage it has wreaked on our body politic.
