Arnie and I went to the anti-Hamas counterdemo today

It was organized by the JDL, about a quarter-block away from the Israeli Consulate, which was completely inaccessible to protesters on either side (the bad guys have rushed the doors before).

The Belligerent Muslims and their Kapo pals were stuck over at the corner of Bloor and Avenue Road — a much smaller crowd than last time, but that’s only because 17,000 of their little friends were meeting at the Convention Center.

Thank God this time way more people showed up on our side. A few fellow bloggers and lots of blog readers.

Arnie took pictures of our side, then he and I split up so he could take photos across the street. I see the Bolshevik Tendency are using signs with the EXACT same typeface they used 20 years ago, but the Socialist Worker is now printing in four colour! (Arnie said to me, “Heh, tendency to what, huh?!” He’s new at this…)

Arnie also caught a dude making a Hitler salute, and someone carrying a Hezzbollah flag (they’re an illegal organization in Canada.)

Speaking of Canada: the JDL megaphone guys made a big deal of the fact that our side was carrying Canadian flags and the other guys weren’t. Ten bucks says they’ll make sure they have some next time.

And no: neither the Lying Jackal nor Bernie Farber joined us! Weird.
