The other political calculation that Finley is making and Dhalla is overlooking, is that this idea is unlikely to be popular with large portions of Canada’s established immigrant communities and there are more people that have been here for a decade or more, working hard and getting their family settled than there are people who may want to bring granny in her golden years.
