Chris Matthews just praised a guest’s book thusly:
“There’s so much right-wing crap on the best seller list these days. It’s great to see a book that you might want to put on your shelf and let your respected friends see you actually reading.”

What’s really scary (besides this accidental mask-slip confirmation of what we’ve known motivates liberals all along — popularity rather than principle) is how easy it is to imagine David Frum saying the same thing.
So: Piss off Chris (and Frum!) and buy a book.
