5 Feet of Fury

My blog gets more traffic than David Frum’s website (with update)

Ha ha…

It’s been seven months since Frum parted ways with National Review to launch his own website — NewMajority.com — in an effort to rally new voices and cure the Republican Party of its “psychotic episode.” It’s a long-term project that’s fighting against the tide. (…)

On a practical level, the Internet is proving to be a little more complicated than Frum first thought it would be, he says. He admits to shortcomings in his Web acumen, and NewMajority.com has already undergone a redesign since it went online.

The site has gotten about 800,000 unique visitors. By comparison, the conservative site Townhall.com receives 2 million unique visitors per month.

“I would like more, obviously,” Frum demurs.

Now see, that’s yer trouble right there:

Posting an oblique advertisement on his NRO blog for help with a new enterprise, Frum found his managing editor in Meghashyam Mali, a recent University of Chicago law school graduate.

These days, Mali runs NewMajority.com from a converted carriage house in Frum’s backyard.

It’s a humble start, but Frum is willing to press on despite the odds.

I too am willing to press on, despite not having a converted carriage house in my backyard, or even a backyard — OR even so much as a “recent University of Chicago law school graduate” to play “Raj” with.

Or a famous last name and lots of money, or a hundred big shot friends, or…

(UPDATE: now with added satire!)

Anyhoo: I started using Statcounter in May 2008. Here’s a screenshot of my uniques, taken ten minutes ago:
