If you die due to ‘risky behaviors,’ there’s nothing ‘shocking’ or ‘untimely’ about it

August 7, 2009 By admin

I’m kinda thinking “faster, please”, myself. If a bunch of stupid losers die, I can’t much bring myself to care. And be brutally honest: you don’t care, either.

Flea says, “Check out the comments,” and he’s right. Although there are some brave souls on the thread, too many sound like typical Brits (and Canadians for that matter). If this was a US site thread, we’d all know this guy was kidding; but it’s Britain, so, alas, he’s serious:

If true, this is shocking. Surely the government should set up special social centres offering snooker, pool & darts etc. They could be given free tickets for cinema and sporting events which would keep them off the streets. Give these people somewhere where they feel they can socialise together. too often working people look down on them as second class citizens but with training and encouragement they can at least enjoy a mixed and varied social life. I’d certainly not begrudge a small, only small, increase in my tax bill if it was specifically aimed at jobless teenagers.
