‘Rush Limbaugh Karaoke’? Uh, that’s all you got?

Look, I love Rush, and listen to him pretty much every day.

But it’s a testament to… well, something or other (I’m still waking up) that something called “Rush Limbaugh Karaoke” is considered “truly brilliant” breakthrough comedy.

“Rush Limbaugh” and “karaoke” are two awfully 1990s words/phrases, no? I grant you: they sound funny together. But… ok, then what?

I always look forward to reading the TV Barn guy because (as I’ve noted on this blog before) he isn’t a knee jerk liberal. (In today’s media environment, simply insisting upon noting that the skit’s “Rush” stuff is ripped “out of context” practically makes you Scoop Jackson).

And unlike so many pop culture writers, he doesn’t think history began the day Star Wars came out:

It’s less of a political diss than goofy generation-gap humor — like when Steve Allen used to read Rolling Stones lyrics in a dull monotone…

Except, well, that wasn’t funny either.

(Was Steve Allen ever funny? I always want to smash his face in.)

Anyhow: see what you think. I yawned, but then again, I guess I would.
