Keep Calm And Carry On t shirt — getting on Google’s page #1 in a week

I was chatting with my pal Alexander of HollywoodLoser.com — the guy who makes the “Kathy Shaidle” tshirts and is the overall official t shirt supplier to the Shaidle household.

He said, hey, NY Times magazine did a little piece on those semi-ubiquitous “Keep Calm and Carry On” tshirts.

You know they’re trendy because now they’re being parodied.

He was bummed out a bit because he was one of the first people to carry them, AND his are the lowest price on the web, and they’re quality 100% cotton that wash up supersoft and don’t flake, AND he offers FREE shipping across North America.

But his webpage offering the shirts was so far down the bottom of Google well you couldn’t hear it. (Basically, nothing after page 2 matters.)

So that put a hornet in my hat. In a desperate attempt to avoid doing actual paying work, I decided to try to get HIS version of the trendy tee on the first page of Google.

I put up this post. I did some other stuff you’d have to pay me to find out.

And last night I remembered to check it out. I typed “keep calm and carry on t shirt” into Google.com and Google.ca (no quotation marks).

And yay! His “Keep Calm and Carry On” tee was on the first page of Google.com and Google.ca.

His title tag needs work, but it was fun to pull that off. Just felt like bragging. I took big girl screen shots and everything. Doing stuff like this is my idea of fun.
