5 Feet of Fury

Jewish leader puzzled by inability to find anything offensive about children’s toy

Perpetual outrage is the default position of the people Ezra Levant calls “official Jews”.

Without outrage, and the threat of ever-looming Nazis and white supremacists always hovering on the horizon (only Official Jews can see these Nazis, so you have to take their word for it), they feel they can’t fundraise. Which in turn threatens the existence of their phoney baloney jobs.

So imagine Abe Foxman’s discombobulation upon realizing that he can’t find anything to express outrage about, now that American Girl is launching its first “Jewish” doll:

The doll is named Rebecca Rubin, “a 9-year-old girl living on the Lower East Side in 1914 with her Russian-Jewish immigrant parents, siblings and a grandmother known only as Bubbie.” Abraham, who is director of the Anti-Defamation League, was surprised because he couldn’t find anything wrong with the doll’s appearance or backstory.

Abe: that “empty” space you’re feeling right now, where your outrage usually is, is called “being a normal person.”
