Today I had lunch with Wendy of GirlOnTheRight/The Mark Steyn Podcast Guest Hosting Coup of the Year, over at Aroma.
She told me our pal Dr. Roy (Who Is Everywhere) just bought a pricey ticket to see George Bush and Bill Clinton share the stage at the Metro Convention Center on May 29.
Would there be any protesters outside? she wondered. I figured the air had (finally) gone out of that old balloon the day Obama got elected.
But sure enough, as I entered the Spadina subway to go home, there were these boring b/w fake “WANTED” posters up on a pole, with Bush described as a “war criminal” and wearing prison drab.
Needless to say, Bill Clinton, who bombed an asprin factory etc does NOT have a poster of his own. Oddly enough!
Alas, I wear “withstands nuclear blasts” type lipstick, or I would’ve landed a big fat red kiss on the guy’s forehead, all the gazillion germs on the poster be damned!
