5 Feet of Fury

Ezra Levant has more on that big Ottawa event for his book

That’s why I was away earlier this week.

Ezra Levant was the main event, and he’s got a couple of reports on his adventures in the nation’s capital, amongst what he calls “polite company”:

We had about 50 MPs and Senators there, including plenty of cabinet ministers. To my delight, the RSVP list included Liberal and Bloc Parliamentarians, too. Liberal Senator Grafstein addressed the audience on behalf of the Liberal Party, as Dr. Martin had to go to the airport.

After the reception, Laureen Harper hosted Steyn and a handful of other long-time free speechniks at 24 Sussex Drive. It was a pretty great way to end the day.

Yep, and being the classy broad I am, I even nicked a napkin to prove it.

PS: yes, Ezra really did confront Human Rights Commission boss lady Jennifer Lynch in an elevator in the Parliament Hill Center Block, in what’s already become the most enthusiastically repeated tale of the event.
