Despite the best efforts of the Lying Jackal and his Liberal Party minions, not to mention the hacks at the local newspaper, our big night in London, Ontario was a huge success.
The smear campaign — the ransom note “racism”, the flurry of intimidating emails to the organizers, the faux outrage and attacks by liberal bloggers — backfired massively.
Ezra Levant, Salim Mansur and I walked into a standing room only, 600 seat auditorium filled with ordinary people, some of whom came all the way from Toronto, Montreal and even Michigan to hear us condemn the Human Rights Commissions and Section 13 (Canada’s “thought crime” law).
Ezra and I sold tons of books, and met blog readers from all over. A local veteran political watcher called it “the biggest political event” he’d ever seen in London outside of an election event.
Thanks to Mary Lou Ambrogio and the gang at London’s Forest City Institute for putting on an amazing night.
