5 Feet of Fury

Brigitte Gabriel gave a great talk at last night’s Toronto WIZO fundraiser

She told her amazing personal story, which I’m sure many of you have heard on Dennis Prager or read in her books.

Now, at one point during question period, Gabriel said that this was the second time the Prime Minister’s Office had had to personally intervene to let her into Canada!

The crowd gasped.

Alas, the crowd applauded wildly when the JDL’s Security Chief took the floor mic and mentioned his group’s role in keeping George Galloway out of the country.

I admit I’m just not getting some of the subtlties in the Galloway situation. But honestly: how do you gasp and one and applaud the other?

The “it’s different when we do it” thing is coming back to haunt Canada’s “Official Jews” (as Ezra Levant calls them). But they still don’t seem to get it.

I was pleasantly surprised that Gabriel (a Lebanese Christian) took the mostly Jewish audience to task for raising their children to “keep their heads down” and be non-confrontational in the face of Muslim supremacist intimidation, especially on college campuses. Some in the crowd chuckled with recognition, anyway.

But despite her repeated calls that everyone else has a duty to be as outspoken as she is, I’ll believe it when I see it.

She also announced that ACT for America wants to set up Canadian chapters, so if you are interested, contact her people at ACT.
