Michael Coren: it was wrong to ban Galloway

March 29, 2009 By admin

Michael Coren writes:

Galloway himself argued unsuccessfully for French nationalist leader Jean-Marie Le Pen to be banned from Britain and refused to speak up when Dutch politician and filmmaker Geert Wilders was prevented from entering the country.

What he, they and everybody else have to learn is that the price we pay for freedom is sometimes being offended. Pluralism is messy and liberty often challenging.

It’s the way it has to be I’m afraid and hypocritical opportunism will get us nowhere.
