His new book is coming out this month, so he has lots of speaking engagements lined up — including one with me.
UPDATE: well, that didn’t take long. No sooner did Ezra post the info about he and I and Salim Mansur speaking at the London Jewish Federation, than a guy named John O’Hara — that’s ohara8667@aol.com — started sending around an email complaining about it.
His half-assed scolding screed was full of borderline slander, outright lies and spelling mistakes, not to mention just plain prissiness.
I love these people. They complain about me to TVO and their MPs, and get ignored and laughed at — not to mention denounced in the House of Commons.
They complain to me to various Jewish organizations, and get ignored and laughed at.
They try to punk my Wikipedia entry, and get smacked down by site admins.
They complain about me at various borderline libelous websites, and I get thousands of dollars in sympathy donations, and hundreds of “I love you!” messages. (Thanks again, y’all!)
What sorry losers.
Just keep at it, guys. All you’re doing is proving to me that I’m right, making me money and giving me free publicity. I LOVE this stuff!
UPDATE: After Laura Rosen Cohen wrote a piece in the National Post critical of the Canadian Jewish Congress, she received a scolding email from the same email address — ohara8667@aol.com. As is the email O’Hara is currently sending around, it is a somewhat desperate love letter to the CJC — apparently, no one is allowed to say negative things about their “very respected” leader, Bernie Farber.
According to emails I’m currently getting, this John O’Hara person can frequently be spotted in the comments section of major newspapers and minor websites, giving virtual B-jobs to Mr. Farber.

Tidbit of info that may or may not be relevant. On the Rabble website chat forum (babble) there is a guy who posts comments as “O’Hara”, and is often accused by the “babblers” as being a CJC “operative”.
Wow, I really hope that donations from poor little old ladies to the United Jewish Appeal aren’t somehow being used to fund cowardly hit and run smear campaigns against pro-Israel bloggers like me, huh?
