I’m forced to agree with this commenter:
I have a mea culpa. I am I Christian and a conservative, and I thought I belonged to the Christian Conservative contingent. But after reading [Rod Dreher’s] article and comments at Beliefnet.com, I may be a Christian and a Conservative, but I would NEVER politically align myself with these people. I need to step back and rethink how my Christianity relates to my Conservativism. Anyone else creeped out by this?
I guess it would also be a really good time for me to admit that I have never understood a single thing Russel Kirk ever wrote. He’s just too boring and uptight to bother with.
