Now by the simple fact that, according to Micheal Ignatieff, Mr. Obama lived close to Canada, he has an understanding of complex relations between our two countries. Wasn’t that Palins point?
Mr. Ignatieff noted that Mr. Obama’s home state is so near Canada, there is no question of his own understanding of how important it is to keep the Canada-U.S. border open for trade.
“You have to remember he’s from Chicago, he’s from Illinois, he’s from a frontier state, so he knows how important the border is to both economies,” Mr. Ignatieff said. Mr. Ignatieff felt reassured “he would stand against protectionism.”
