5 Feet of Fury

Toronto: home of tolerance and/or diversity

Fenris reports on yesterday’s shooting at Osgoode (yes, Osgoode!) subway station:

Oh dear. Another disadvantaged Half-Canadian has acted out his outrage over racism, sexism, and the lingering effects of colonialism in Africa by a little gun play in a public place.

Today’s manifestion of live ammunition performance theatre took place in Osgoode Subway station.

(…)

And as for the law students, lawyers, judges, and other apparatichiks of the aristocracy, they can smile and feel safe, knowing that this particular murder is probably the very last one of the year.

And as for all that flying lead that missed their heads and hearts, well, their membership and support in the non-Conservative party helped deflect the bullets into more ameniable concrete.

(…)

This is not the first time our disadvantaged Half-Canadians have celebrated public gun play as a means of expressing outrage over whatever it is that will get more social spending for jobs for socialist social services sector workers.

From the comments:

C’mon, the perp was only celebrating Obama’s inaguration.
