5 Feet of Fury

“Btw, is Shaidle jewish?”

From our bulging “Is ‘lighten up’ ‘racist’?” files…

Wow, those trolls are up early today! Is it some pagan gay socialist sunrise festival? Cuz it’s not like they have actual jobs to go to…

Pretty funny:

Puny, anonymous beta male Canadian white boys/Amateur Jew-Detectors(tm) defend the honor of multi-millionaire overweight Christian African American woman by insulting multi-millionaire overweight Caucasian alpha male AND dutifully reciting, trained-parrot-like, key plot points from Mandingo. (Insert your own “Polly/cracker” jokes here.)

Man, I have GOT to get my Lefty Decoder Ring outta hock. Damn you, ZOG — you and your bouncing Bernie Madoff cheques!!

Anyhoo:

Of course, Kate’s artistic rendering is not entirely accurate:

an African Oprah would be not only skinny, but a fly-covered Muslim with a scraped off clitoris and an oozing fistula. Oh, and dead. Instead of — do I really have to spell this out for y’all? — a rich, powerful (and well-fed) semi-Christian woman with the vote, a Chicago condo and a country house…

PS: the combined net worth of every black citizen of the U.S. equals that of the 16th richest nation on earth. (Which is not, btw, located in Africa.)

In view of the last century of history in Nigeria or Ivory Coast or Sierra Leone or Zimbabwe, could any African American say with confidence that he or she would have fared better had some distant ancestor not been enslaved?

Of course, those who seek reparations would also cite the devastating impact of Western colonialism in stunting African progress, but the United States played virtually no role in the colonization of the continent. The British, French, Italians, Portuguese, Germans and others all established brutal colonial rule in Africa; tiny Belgium became a particularly oppressive and bloodthirsty colonial power in the Congo.

The United States, on the other hand, sponsored only one long-term venture on the African continent: the colony of Liberia, an independent nation set up as a haven for liberated American slaves who wanted to go “home.” The fact that so few availed themselves of the opportunity, or heeded the back-to-African exhortations of turn- of-the-century Black Nationalist Marcus Garvey, reflects the reality that descendants of slaves understood they were better off remaining in the United States, for all its faults.
