Imam who tried to censor Ezra Levant’s magazine opens — Free Speech Center

Satire + Muslims = Impossible:

The Islamic Supreme Council of Canada has taken one more step towards educating new immigrants and Canadian Muslims about the importance of free speech. ISCC has established Freedom of Speech Centre in Calgary. We are hoping that the freedom of speech centre will provide a platform to Calgarians / Canadians to express their opinions without preconditions or fear of backlash.

We need to teach our youth and elders how to handle difference of opinions.  We are planning to invite speakers who might have written or have spoken against Islam and Muslims.  We are trying to establish dialogue with them.

Would it occur to “Blow-hardy” to take the (Muslim Brotherhood??) money used to finance this bizarre project and pay back some of Ezra’s $100,000 legal fees?

Naw.

For Muslim Supremicists and Beligerents like Syed, it’s all about keeping the “I” in “Islam”. Ironically, Muslims are also possessed of the worst sense of P.R. of almost any group (sorta like the way God put oil throughout the entire Middle East — except for Israel, and invented whiskey to keep the Irish from taking over the world…)

Having been internationally humiliated, by a Jew no less, Syed doesn’t think to resign his position and live a life of quiet penitential service, avoiding the public eye at all costs. Nah, too… Christian.

Instead, Syed, who always maintains the imprint of the last person who sat on him, has finally detected the change in the societal air: “victimhood”, if not “out”, is ever so slightly on the skids; now, “free speech” is in (if the Conservative Party resolution is anything to go by.)

Note that he suddenly hasn’t finally discovered Enlightenment principles after living here in Anglo-Saxon Land for 20 years in total oblivion; this is all about ass-covering and faddishness.

So: time to steer that pirated ship around and go all “free speech” and peace and love and “non-violence” on our asses.

You’re invited to comment about this bizarre development at The Shotgun blog.

(PS: you can read all about Syed in my book The Tyranny of Nice, including his campaign against a Calgary clothing store for running a Photoshopped ad showing Osama bin Laden wearing a touque. Nope, me neither…)
