5 Feet of Fury

Huckabee wrong about pretty much everything except Cher (UPDATE: and maybe that whole Bible thing)

New book dishes campaign dirt.

UPDATE: a reader writes via email…

Kathy, I just followed your link to the Time Magazine review of Huckabee’s book. I don’t know whether the magazine has quoted him accurately, but either Huckabee or his reviewer, Michael Scherer, is displaying a remarkable degree of ignorance of the Bible. In the fourteen-word parenthesis, two mistakes that are immediately obvious to anyone with any knowledge at all of the Bible:

(1) It wasn’t Naaman but Nathan

(2) ‘Though’ art? No! ‘Thou’ art.

The second mistake is really gross. The first one is more forgivable, because there is a Naaman in the Bible, though he was a Syrian leper, not the prophet who challenged David over his cunning trick for getting rid of his girlfriend’s husband.

Which is all pretty ironic in light of the fact that Huckabee is an ordained minister who believes in the inerrancy of Scripture!
