The last time I was obliged to watch Mike, he was smugly declaring (at about 6PM or so ) that “John Kerry would be the next President of the United States.”
I never watch Canadian news and current events shows unless I have to. Yesteday I had to, because Duffy was interviewing Steyn about his HRC travails.
While waiting for their segment, I had to sit through about forty-five minutes of sheer, unadulterated awfulness. Whoever said “Politics is show biz for ugly people” must have had the Canadian Parliament in mind. They all look like Extreme Makeover “before” pictures.
Actually, they look more like Extreme Makeover “after” pictures, when the best they can do is stick a new pair of “trendy” (aka circa 2002) eyeglass frames on a fat, bald guy. These people make me look like Sophia Loren. I should move to Ottawa…
And there are way, way, WAY too many Frenchmen running our country. Jezus. I’d managed to forget that fact since 9/11, when I more or less stopped “living” here and took up virutal residence in the United States by way of the internet. Quebeckers make up 10% of the population and act as if they own the place, like Afrikaners with even uglier accents.
I thought we won the damn war for chrissakes…
Anyway: Mike Duffy said some smart stuff but not enough to get me to watch more Canadian news crap. I had to sit through Hannity & Colmes just to delouse.
