“Your recent sharp intake of breath regarding Brother Warman this week and bloggers’ ruminations regarding the need for a legal defence fund reminded me of the actions of a group of University of Alberta students who held a marathon public reading of the Satanic Verses in defiance of the fatwa placed on Salman Rushdie in 1989.
“In the same spirit could not a series fundraisers be held by anyone so inclined that would incorporate a marathon reading of America Alone
in conjunction with a showing of Ezra Levant’s appearance before the HRC’s political commissar followed by “The Prisoner”, “1984”, “Fahrenheit 451” and “Brave New World”? “Perhaps there would be room for a Madame Lafarge ‘Clicking Knitting Needle’ award for select functionaries desperate to be our new overlords.
“I suggest it to you as I have the organizational skill of Irish Setter puppies.”
