“It’s not over. There are other white people who weep for the chance to cast their feel-good votes, who yearn to be able to say, ‘But I voted for Obama!” to their black friends, and I will give them that chance. I have not come this far, I have not Bryant Gumbeled myself this much just to walk away from their audacity. I may not know what audacity means, but I do know that white people love it when we say the words ‘audacity’, ‘hubris’, and ‘jibber-jabber’.”
