Canadian Muslim speaks out

January 6, 2008 By admin

Of course, when I make these observations, I’m a “racist”:

“Pakistani Muslim expatriates – of course, not all of them – have some very serious problems. Coming from repressive, narrow-minded, tribal, near-primitive societies, they fail to bridge the yawning cultural divide and integrate with modern pluralistic societies. They thus become hopelessly marginalized and isolated; and finding themselves singled out they try to assert their unique and idiosyncratic identity with belligerence.

“Their misplaced enthusiasm and belligerence comes into direct conflict with the values of a far more free — and responsible — Canadian society and the cultural clash becomes more pronounced. I have observed that quite a few Pakistani Muslim expatriates simply refuse to integrate in their adopted countries. They come to a country but do not live in it the way they should. Even while benefiting from the advanced Western democracies, they keep looking back to their countries of origin. There is nothing wrong with nostalgia for the home country but this should not be so extreme as to drastically interfere with one’s adapting to the new place.

“They refuse to appreciate the overwhelming achievements of Western civilization in nearly all the areas of human endeavor…”

Immigrants are forever buying those long distance phone cards.

What the hell do they talk about to their friends back home, then?

Doesn’t anyone ever say: “Don’t come over here — it sucks. Your pathetic credentials are worthless. This place is crawling with whores” etc?

A liberal tells himself (and us, ad nauseum) that “belligerent” immigrants are “just hard working people coming here for a better life.”

Being a conservative and therefore, possessed of a better grasp on basic human nature, I see through this tired rhetoric and view “belligerent” immigrants as they are: as willfully deluded, stubborn, intransigent, greedy fools.

Like the “victims” of con artists and Enron, “belligerent” immigrants are the authors of their own misfortune.

Surely they knew that a degree from some nothing Pakistan university is worthless here. They knew there’d be billboards of half-naked ladies everywhere, and people drinking booze.

If they knew all that, came here anyhow and are still bitching, I have zero sympathy for them.

Especially if all they’re contributing to society is a resentful attitude and lousy cab rides.

Oh, and HRC complaints…
