Civilized people don’t live 11 to a home.
I said this about the Italians when I was growing up in Hamilton and I’ll say it about any backward ethnic group that encourages this peasant behaviour.
The whole point of becoming an adult is to escape from your backward, stiffling, stupid family as quickly as possible. You have nothing to learn from your peasant, farmer relatives unless your future career involves plucking chickens or making pigeon snares out of twine. They don’t know anything about making money, otherwise they’d actually have some.
The more people there are in a single house, the fewer books there will be. Books are better than people.
Only backward collectivist cultures revere the exended family, because the individual members of said family are too stupid or lazy to make it on their own in our individualistic, self-sufficient society.
