Anybody going to CPAC?

December 4, 2007 By admin

UPDATE: OK, forget it. In all the excitement I forgot that I have Joan Jett tickets for that weekend. Not sure HOW I could possibly forget something that major, but hey, I’ve got a lot on my mind these days…

Have fun in DC without me, guys.

Wendy says it would be a great way to test my “Dick Cheney/laser beam orgasm” theory — which isn’t a theory, girls and boys. I blacked out during his debate with Edwards and came to craving a cigarette for the first time in years…

Now, dropping almost a grand to visit DC when I have no job may not be the smartest thing to do. Although the whole “having no job” thing means I’ll have the time, if not the dough. (And even then, my severance package doesn’t end until mid-February, and that’s full pay and benefits…)

Going to Washington, DC was my late mother’s dream, although I’m not sure why. She wasn’t a particularly political, let alone educated woman, but we talked about making the trip even on what turned out to be her deathbed.

So it is VERY tempting, but I don’t know where I’ll be financially or professionally three months from now.

Thinking… thinking…
