BeliefNet is holding a Most Inspiring Person contest. Most of the nominees sound ok, some really are deserving (like the “subway hero” and Dr. Hamlin) but too many are celebrities.
And frankly, there’s too much — how to put this — charity on display in this list.
What we really need now is courage and defiance. Strike a blow for the “Running Away is the New Bravery” mentality and vote for Professor Librescu, late of Virginia Tech.
