Is Joel Stein even smart enough to really be Jewish?

November 6, 2007 By admin

Remember that classic “interview” (slapdown) Hugh Hewitt did with Joel Stein, after Stein’s “I don’t support the troops” column? Man, that was hot. You know, I actually kinda saw the point Stein was making, but Hewitt’s sheer underhanded nastiness was so impressive I just stopped caring.

Anyway, that eviseration didn’t end Joel “If I were drafted, I’d be in Vancouver. I’m not proud of that, but it’s true” Stein’s career. Alas, he’s back with another screw up.

Last year, folks were wondering how this young twerp, who looks like he’s pegged to star as The Quirky Little Brother No One Will Listen To in the next Final Destination flick, got the job writing op-eds (no, not anime reviews) for the allegedly important L.A. Times (did you know, by the way, that Rush Limbaugh has about twenty times more listeners than the LAT has subscribers? Just sayin’)

Well, looks like Matt Welch had something to do with it. Welch was one of the people I meant to name check (but forgot to) in this old post. He’s part of that whole gang, or was. I haven’t read him in years. But he’s moving to Reason (they should just rename it Ayn Rand’s High Times and get it over with) so that’s all you need to know.
