Know what else I want banned? “Priests in Scout Leader uniforms”

October 17, 2007 By admin

Ever get the feeling that, instead of “poverty, chastity and obedience,” priests are now vowing to be  eccentric, tone deaf, self-absorbed and socially awkward? A “priest in a Scout leader uniform” sounds like something out of Pete & Dud, or Edwardian porn. He either doesn’t know that, or doesn’t care. I’m not sure which is more pathetic…

Anyway: Two Muslim converts defend wearing hijabs in Quebec. Are “real” Muslim women not allowed to leave the house or something?

Whine, bitch, moan. People don’t dis you “just because of the way you dress.” It’s what your “dress” represents and you know it. Veils are not the same as “baseball caps” — which are almost as offensive anyway.

Notice how often the word “complained” comes up in this story, which also inadvertently reveals the real reason Quebec women convert to Islam — that is, non-Muslim Quebec men:

Tongue in cheek, Bouchard said there’s only one problem with her conversion. When he first greeted her, he was unable to give her the customary embrace. “If I have one regret,” he said, “it’s that I’m deprived of the pleasure of being able to kiss you.”

Tétreault looked embarrassed. “Well, thanks for not having done so,” she replied with a little laugh, her cheeks reddening. “I appreciate your understanding, a lot.”

What’s French for “puke”?
