I always sorta suspected that “hate the sin, love the sinner” was bunk. If it’s true that Gandhi coined the phrase, that seals the deal for me. I know it was Martin Luther King who wrote that you didn’t have to like your enemies, you just had to love them (although knowing him, he probably stole the line from someone else…)
So that should just go to show you.
